What’s vitarian dude? I am trying to become 100% vegan myself and eventually switch to the RAVE diet. Funny thing is Bruce Lee ate meat and he was the world’s best athlete. However he didn’t like his kids eating meat so therefore it is questionable if he became vegetarian later in his life. He didn’t eat cheese or drink milk but he ate eggs for sure.

Yo, brothers and sisters. Im from Poland. Im vegetarian preparing to become vitarian. Im bodybuilder, runner, Jeet-Kune Do and Wing Chun practicer and my energy is still with me and my muscles:)

Tillo2008, you moron, the fact of the matter is that plants don’t have faces you fucking idiot. Speculating about “what if”‘s is about as useful as speculating “if the tooth fair was true then ALL children would be rich”. What’s your point you fucking moron?

  8. loads of my friends have got physically stronger since cutting out meat.

Lewis had a 20+ year career and had a couple pos. tests for simple stimulants. But he was an incredible athlete from about 15 y.o to nearly 40. Great natural athlete

@zoelock “Do your research before you start insulting people.”
I didn’t insult anyone, if you want to take it personally go right ahead and be insulted.
Also, good job on responding to a post made SEVEN MONTHS AGO.
i don’t really care how others eat. It’s when they decide they are somehow better than me because they made a choice I don’t make. Life consumes life to sustain/maintain life. If plants had faces or voices Vegans would have nothing left to eat.

Because the vegans you know might not brush their teeth for more than two mins. Or they might be dehydrated. Do your research before you start insulting people.

  13. kingmoraro says:

yeah right! veges alone are wak! meat+vegesiis the way to go

  14. I think that its because our bodies dont have to work as hard to digest the food we eat. Also I do agree that we dont feel as guilty about what we eat.

  15. actually get your facts rights Carl Lewis never failed a doping test..and was so clean and stood up for that, that he didn’t take his arthritis medication…please check your facts before acussing someone of something that they strongly stood against!!!

  16. Huba588 says:

I guess veggies (not all, but a large amount) in my area are a bit more expensive than back where my family lives. Veggies are up to $1 more expensive up here (I’m away for undergrad “yay”).

What I was primarily speaking of were organic products, such as veggie patties or tofu hot dogs. Although it’d be better making my own from scratch or just going fresh, I would still crave what I used to eat.

May I ask what stuff other than veggies you buy? Do you specifically buy any products?

  17. agelixir says:

I’m a PhD student, and I eat a fat free vegan diet. I find that this diet is as cheap as it gets. Vegetables, fruits, grains, and beans are super cheap; not to mention the enormous amount of money that I save by not eating at restaurants.

  18. gukonni says:

Why is it that they all say they feel like their body is cleaner and they feel lighter??????? Why???? It’s exactly the same with me! Why???? Is it because we no longer have to live with the guilt of eating the flesh of a stressed/abused animal, or is it because we’re genuinely eating better?

All I know is… I feel better and am more athletic than my family.. who’re dairy/meat eaters. Going vegan helps the planet a HUGE amount. I’d recommend some B12 supplements just in case though.

  19. Zealousy00 says:

    A healthier life.

  20. rondiggy4 says:

He built his physique on a omnivorous diet and won medals (he did test positive for a doping test, however). When he turned vegan what did he win?

  21. Huba588 says:

I wanna try doing vegetarian (maybe vegan later), but I find a lot of veggies and organic products are just way too expensive… (I’m a college student too hehe). I can almost always find meat for like $1-2/lb.

I guess I’ll try switching after I get a job and $ won’t be much of a problem.

  22. progrocker69 says:

Seriously: Shut the fuck up and go learn something about the human body.

I’m a guy who let himself get extremely large due to depression and other issues. I’m now following essentially the same program as Mr. Lewis (McDougall). I also was FORCED to stop taking all of my meds due to loss of insurance. After 6 weeks of pure veganism I am more energetic and feel better than in at least 3 years and I’ve dropped almost 15 lbs. without starvation. This is the ONLY way to optimum health.
